Tilman - The model railroad - collector.......

Fortunately, the model railway "flew" got me 2006, an with that I started to look out for ways of finding back the trains that i remeber from the times when I was a kid.

Found a offer in the national bidder-site Tradera that I could not resist. A very nice ARNOLD-RAPIDO -engine. It is a very nice Steam tender engine from the Deutsche Bundesbahn. The engine was supposed to be broken beyond being able to fix. And guess what... When I got it, it was broken. After a dismantling effort, cleaning and adjusting the engine is now in a functional state.

I have now done numerous bids in Germany on the very nicely organised bidder e-bay. Arnold material is what now is on its way to my house to make life nice.

Here is another engine that came to my house. This is a Engine by the Deutsche Reichsbahn (pre 2:n world war) with a separate tender. Some cleaning up and adjusting and also this engine is now ticking over VERY nicely. It is just amazing to look at the brass kogweels turning and doing the noice kogweels with straight cuts will do.

I love railcars.... It all started with this ?
Have good close look. Here you see a "Schienenbus" that i shot during the 1960:ties. You can emagine that I saw quite a number of these "buses" at this time.

Here you have a classic railcar with 2 axles. They carried passengers all over the place in Germany in the 50- 70-ies.

No it is not me sitting at the helm in this car. As you are able to see it is a lovely model of a VT25. The model is made by the Austrian modelmaker Liliput and I have digitized it and put some passengers in it. Look at my page for the modification.
